James Corbin is a plus-sized high fashion model, presenter, activist, online-blogger, television & radio producer and a writer. His YouTube channel, ‘Corbin Captures’ has over 900,000 hits and is a platform that aims to lead progressive conversations about male body image and inclusion in fashion. It was from this platform that he was scouted for his first modeling job in Vogue Italia during 2020. James is now represented as a model globally across 5 countries. Some of his fashion credits include: Vogue, Gucci, Valentino, Dazed Magazine, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, GQ Magazine, Perfect Magazine, i-D Magazine, Levi’s and many more. James has a passion for discussing and writing on social issues and helping facilitate conversations of importance that result in change. He has been interviewed and featured in profiles for the Guardian, The Independent and Esquire. He is currently working on a personal documentary that delves into colourism within the UK, alongside a podcast project that aims to engage in conversations with industry insiders promoting self-confidence. James is also part of the Flock Together Collective that opens a space for black and minority cultures to bird watch in safe spaces across the world. James is also featured in Channel 4’s infamous Black-To-Front Movement that saw the reboot of British show, The Big Breakfast, which he worked on as a producer in 2021.
